Barre | Pilates Practitioner
Nicky Tipton MCSP
BSc (Hons)
Nicky has been a Physiotherapist since qualifying from Keele University with a 1st class honours degree in 2001. Since then she has worked in a variety of environments including elite sport and private practice, most recently in her own clinic.
​
She is trained in Pilates (APPI), Ballet Barre (Barre Collective), and as a Pre and Post natal Barre Instructor (Barre Intensity). She also has post graduate qualifications in Pregnancy and post natal physiotherapy, Female Pelvic Health and Menopause (peri and post).
Nicky has been involved in sport all of her life - gymnastics, dance, running, yoga….and is passionate about all kinds of movement!​ She has experienced the best model of care from her time working with injured athletes with The English Institute of Sport, including as a physiotherapist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Her aim at Studio Barre is to emulate this model using a holistic fusion of Barre, Pilates and functional movement for effective rehabilitation, alongside her range of Barre classes designed to suit all levels and abilities.

Olivia Newton
Olivia trained as a professional dancer at Bird College in London and graduated with an honours degree in Dance. Since hanging up her performing shoes 9 years ago, she has discovered her true passion lies within teaching and education.
​
She has worked consistently since then as a Dance teacher in various schools, colleges and professional training platforms across the midlands.
​
She has a post-graduate teaching diploma and also holds teaching qualifications in Ballet, Pilates and Yoga. She absolutely loves Barre, as it is a perfect blend of these disciplines; creating a wonderful full body workout.
Olivia is passionate about creating an inclusive and fun environment for people to find joy in movement and exercise.

Lucia Davies
Lucia is a certified barre instructor and fitness coach with a lifelong passion for movement. Alongside co-running an award-winning animated film studio, she has trained extensively in barre studios across London and the US.
​
She is pre- and postnatal barre trained and accredited with BarreConcept® - the only internationally accredited in-person barre course with approval in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. She also holds an internationally recognised, CIMPSA-accredited Diploma in Fitness Instructing, with specialist training in anatomy and safe, effective movement.
Lucia champions barre’s versatility - whether as a foundation for other training or a complete workout on its own. Her classes are designed to build strength, flexibility and conditioning while staying creative, energising and beat-driven. She welcomes everyone to build strength, alignment and joy through movement and music.

Pilates Instructor/Ballet Teacher
Lauren Owen
Lauren began her journey into movement after stepping away from a fast-paced career in finance and the busy London lifestyle. During a period of ill health, she discovered Pilates, which became instrumental in her recovery - helping her reconnect mind, body, and soul, and rebuild strength, confidence, and trust in her body.

Now a qualified Pilates instructor, Lauren is passionate about empowering others through mindful movement. Her classes focus on improving posture, building strength, and helping clients feel more confident and connected in their bodies.
​
Lauren has been dancing since the age of 2 and teaching dance since she was 16 alongside her own training. Trained with both the IDTA and RAD boards, she runs her own classes for young children, sharing her love of movement from an early age while nurturing confidence, creativity, and body awareness. Alongside her Pilates teaching, Lauren is now a ballet teacher at Studio Barre and is excited to bring some ballet magic to the studio!

Charlotte Heard
Charlotte is a qualified Sports Therapist, holding Level 3 and 4 diplomas in Sports Therapy and a degree in Physiological Sciences.
With a lifelong passion for an active lifestyle, she loves helping people move well and stay pain-free. Charlotte works with a wide range of clients - whether they’re recovering from injury, managing aches and pains, or aiming to improve overall performance.

Ballet Teacher
Kerry Lucas-Garner
Kerry began dancing at the age of four at a well-respected Birmingham dance school and brings a wealth of experience, warmth and knowledge to her adult ballet classes.
Being trained in both the Royal Academy of Dance & International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) curriculums to professional level, she developed a strong foundation in technique and a passion for expressive dance. Wanting to share her love of ballet, she completed a Level 4 Diploma in Ballet Dance Teaching with the IDTA and also became a certified teacher in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
Alongside her dance teaching, Kerry is also a physiotherapist in the NHS having studied at Liverpool University. She is a specialist in musculoskeletal therapy, attending numerous post-graduate courses, and has rehabilitated many dancers following injury. Her deep understanding of anatomy and movement enriches her teaching, allowing her to guide dancers safely and intelligently through each exercise.
These classes offer an inspiring blend of technique, artistry and musicality. Whether you’re starting afresh, returning to ballet or continuing your training, her sessions provide the perfect environment to grow, move and connect with the joy of dance.
