We are excited to announce a 5 block of classes at Studio Barre. Starting in September 2024, we will be offering BarreNatal sessions as block bookings. Our first block session will commence on Saturday, 7th September, and will run for 5 weeks, concluding on 5th October.

About the event
Our first 5 block session will commence on Saturday, 7th September, and will run for 5 weeks, concluding on 5th October. These 5 weeks of pregnancy barre classes will be suitable for all stages of pregnancy and will build on each week’s content, layer by layer, and include specialist bonus content from other experts in the field of pregnancy, creating an all-around holistic experience.
Class 1: 12:30 - 1:30pm - Saturday, 7th September
Connect
At your first BarreNatal class, you will be introduced to the barre! As we move through the session, we will learn many barre basics that will be progressed and revisited each week.
The powerful connection between your breath, pelvic floor, and deep core will be explored and explained. You will gain a deeper understanding and feeling of this vital relationship, empowering you during pregnancy and birth.
Class 2: 12:30 - 1:30pm - Saturday, 14th September
Align
Carefully curated low-impact movements will be performed to align and strengthen your postural muscles. We layer and build strength and endurance as your spinal alignment changes with each stage of your journey.
Posture will be our main focus this week, incorporating movements designed to lengthen and create space in your body as your baby grows. Enjoy the sensation of feeling open in your pregnant body!
Class 3: 12:30 - 1:30pm - Saturday, 21st September
Deepen
Preparing your body for birth, we work to deepen your connection to the pelvic floor and core. Using the synergy of breath and movement, we focus on releasing and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles, gaining a greater understanding of how this is vital for birth.
You will continue building strength and resilience with safe and effective full-body movements.
Class 4: 12:30 - 1:30pm - Saturday, 28th September
Em-Power!
Functional strength is vital during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Class 4 is all about harnessing your power to carry you through every step of your journey with ease.
Maintaining joint stability, effective neuromuscular control, and harmonious strength is essential to prevent pregnancy-related and postpartum musculoskeletal issues. Lay these foundations to enable you to feel empowered for the birth of your baby.
Class 5: 12:30 - 1:30pm - Saturday, 5th October
Balance and Grace
This class will have a strong focus on the skill of balance to help you adapt to your rapidly changing pregnant body. We also explore the broader meaning of balance, putting together all the skills learned so far to help you find balance within your mind and body. Practice the art of moving with grace and ease to navigate current and future changes.
